Classroom Rules: Simple rules that need to be followed in order to have a great year!
- Be in your seat and ready to learn once the bell rings
- Bring required course material to class ( textbook, notebook, pencil, etc.)
- Listen to the teacher's instructions and follow accordingly.
- Turn in assignments on time
- Respect everyone in the classroom (teachers, peers, aids, etc.)
- Keep cell phones away. You can always approach the teacher if there is an emergency and a phone call needs to be made.
- Avoid excessive and/or violent physical contact with others
- Use technology (Computers, Ipads, School cameras, etc.) properly
- Last but not least. Work hard and always do your best work! If everyone works hard and follows the rules then this class should be fun for everyone!
Consequences: Both positive and negative for those who follow the rules and for those who do not.
- Negative Consequences:
- Verbal warnings- If students slip up and have a minor behavior problem a verbal warning will be had in order to remind the student of what they did wrong
- Detentions: If students continue to misbehave, a detention will be issued to them
- Suspensions: If students cause any serious harm to someone, or have any extreme behavioral problems a suspension will be issued.
- Lost Privileges: If students cannot use technology properly, they will lose their privilege to use it.
- Lost Privileges: If students do not behave or turn in work on time, they will lose privileges to participate in classroom activities that are designated to be a reward for good classroom behavior.
- Contacting home: Missing work, very poor test scores, and extreme misbehavior will all result in a phone call home.
2. Positive Consequences
- Extra Credit: If students do not miss any assignments throughout the semester, a reasonable amount of extra credit will be issued to their lowest test score.
- Technology benefits: Computers will be brought into the classroom much more frequently and students will have more freedom with the technology if the classroom can prove they have the responsibility to handle technology.
- Flexibility: The harder students work and the more effort they put into school will result in more flexibility when it comes to assignments and test.
- Fun Activities: If students prove that they can behave well, there will be multiple classroom activities that can be fun for everyone. ( Example- review games the day before a test)
